The Blue Tiger and Tara temples are world-class yoga facilities with palm roofs, simple lines and a unique Asian motif. Boasting lake front panoramic views, hardwood floors, a glass pyramid sky light and cascading gardens with a waterfall, these rooms are ideal for group yoga and meditation practices.

The Newest addition, Lotus House has 6 luxurious rooms with attached private baths. Three rooms floor can accommodate single or double occupancy and the other three rooms can house up to three participants. Each of these precious rooms has private balconies with stunning views of the lake or our gardens.
We also offer two small bungalows that are very private and each have a queen size bed. Each has a private attached bath and dramatic views of the lake.
With 16 different Mayan villages close by, the center has lots to explore. The Harmony Spa offers a complete line of services on-site from dedicated and experienced professionals. From therapeutic massage to nutritional counseling to waxing, we can help make your holiday special and healing.

Pricing is for one person and includes: 3 vegetarian meals, use of group room and props, unlimited tea and coffee service, filtered drinking water, a tour of Santa Cruz pueblo sponsored by Amigos de Santa Cruz, Artisan Market, an Eco Sumaya tour and Guatemalan taxes. It does not include ground or lake transportation, tips, extra activities or spa services.

Please note that transportation is not included in our group package. We suggest that participants arrive no later than 12pm at the Guatemala International Airport, if they would like to proceed directly to the lake. For arrival past 4pm, participants may need to spend the nite in Antigua (40 minutes from airport). A list of hotels can be provided.
Airport Transport -We can help you arrange transportation to and from Guatemala City International Airport by private mini bus (approx. 3 hour drive). Cost depends on number of people in van. It can range from $80 (private) to $25 per person for shared shuttle (4 or more).
Boat – Our center is only accessible by boat. We can also arrange for a boat pick up from Panajachel (where airport shuttle drops off). Private boats fees are $17 -$30 depending upon the number of passengers. For the adventurous, public boats are about $2-4, leave on their own schedule and may or may not be willing to stop at our dock.

Taxes and Gratuity/Dana for Staff
The package price includes a 22% Guatemalan Tax, but does not cover tips for the staff. It is appreciated if each guest can give between $35-$50 for their stay. The Dana/donation will be split among the entire staff including our beloved gardeners and boatmen, so that no additional tipping is necessary.
Food
Our cooking team has been creating delicious vegetarian meals for groups for the past six years. We serve buffet style and seconds are always available. For participants who would like to supplement their lunch or dinner with chicken or fish an additional $7.00 per meal would be added to their rooms charges.
Communications
Internet - We offer wireless service for those who bring their own laptop at $20.00 a week . This service is for emails only. No downloading or skyping or Youtube. Our guests can use our in-house computer for $5.00.
Phone – Our phones are available for calls, fees depend on country. United States is $1.50 per minute.

Massages, energy work, astrological and oracle readings (Iching or Tarot) and other spa activities are available by highly qualified professionals. These sessions are 1 to 2 hours in length and priced at $55 for 1 hour, $75 for 1 1/2 hours, and $95 for 2 hours. There are a few services that do not fall within these rates. We are proud to announce our new Watsu pool which has been created for your pleasure. Enjoy a water based massage in our warm pool.
Spirit Dog Boutique – On our property we have a beautiful little store that carries very unique items; Yoga Clothing, Jewelry, Bags, Cards, Shawls, Coffee and more. All are fair-trade and reasonable prices. Miscellaneous Information
• The local time is Central Standard Time and so far Guatemala does not observe day light savings time (during daylight saving time its Mountain time here).
• The electricity is standard 110v same as the United States
• The Weather here is typically cool 55-60 Fahrenheit,(sweater weather) in the early mornings and evenings. During the day it’s usually between 70-90 Fahrenheit. Air conditioning is not necessary. May, June, September and October are the rainy times. During most of the rainy season there will be a hard rain in the afternoons and late at night, while the mornings are sunny and bright. (we offer $10 off per person, per day discount during those months).
• We do offer laundry service for our guests at $3.00 a pound.
• Visas and Inoculations are not necessary.
• We provide unlimited drinking water.
• We do make available our yoga props. This includes mats, straps, blankets and blocks.
Activities Around Villa Sumaya – (Abbreviated List)
•Tour of the Village Santa Cruz La Laguna – Amigos de Santa Cruz, a non-profit organization will host a complimentary tour of our local pueblo. A very authentic tour of a typical village on the lake.
•Climb Volcano San Pedro - For those participants who love adventure, this climb to the top of Volcano San Pedro is spectacular.
•Protection Ceremony with a Shaman with English speaking translator a ceremony offering a blessing for protection during your travels.
•Tour of Santiago (the largest village on the lake) -This is a very popular tour, offering a rare and fascinating insight into this very proud and independent village and the life of the modern Maya who inhabit this region.
•Tour of San Juan – The lake’s most progressive and eco-conscious pueblo. Interesting and different handicrafts are available in this unique village. Highly recommended by the Villa Sumaya staff.
•Trip to Chi Chi Castenango Market-Visit one of Guatemala’s most famous market places known for its many colors and brightly dressed Quiche Mayan Indigenous.
